Sarti
Sarti is built at the eastern coast of Sithonia. It took its name from an ancient city probably was in the same position.
The name "Sarti" can be found in Herodotus, who mentions the ancient city as a station of the campaign of Xerxes. We do not know the time or the cause of the disaster. In the 14th century it refers to the village area called "Sarti", property of Xeropotamou Monastery.
After 1922 he was inhabited by refugees from Asia Minor. Preserved houses that reveal the origin and history of the village since then. Today Sarti is a tourist center where visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature, combining mountain and sea.
